I got into Helsinki later yesterday than I had expected - my Linda Line ferry didn't run because, I'm told, it was too windy. Instead I travelled with Nordic Jet, who were more expensive and left an hour later, but I'm not sour because it was a smooth ride and I read the whole way over.
So, Helsinki. It's still busy even though the athletics has finished, and it is expensive, though not as expensive as I had feared. Also, everything is in walking distance so I figure that I save enough not using public transport to justify spending a little extra on food.
Tomorrow, I'm taking another ferry, overnight to Stockholm. It takes sixteen hours but I have a cabin; this will be an entirely new experience for me, having never slept on a ship before.
